A Cure In Kent For The Winter Blues

Decorated Wedding TableWell, that’s Halloween over for another year, all those smiley little faces at the door gone until next October! Now all we have to do is to plan Christmas! I must admit that this year I am not quite yet in the mood so I thought that a little break away from it all would be the perfect answer.

I didn’t really want to go abroad so the idea of a beautiful country house hotel in Kent with roaring log fires, wonderful food and gardens to stroll around if the weather would be perfect. I also have been asked by a friend of mine to look at wedding venues in Kent for her daughter’s wedding next Christmas…so I could kill two birds with one stone as the old saying goes! So I was delighted to discover that one of my most favourite hotels, Bromley Court, has a special offer at the moment…offering a great discount for a stay. The idea of sitting in front of a huge fire, nestled in a deep armchair, glass of wine in hand seemed a perfect cure for the “winter blues.”

There is no doubt in my mind that one of the most beautiful areas in England to have your wedding is Kent. Whether it be a church wedding or a civil ceremony. Bromley, in particular, is conveniently close to London and has good rail and motorway links.

Many couples today, especially those who are entering into their second marriage, are opting for a civil ceremony. There is no difficulty in finding the perfect civil wedding venue; Bromley is particularly proud to have this particularly beautiful venue that is licensed to perform civil wedding ceremonies. For a winter wedding Bromley Court is stunning, with a wonderful atmosphere and is steeped in so much history that wedding guests are always astonished when they look around the house and discover it’s past.
